Finally I sit down the note down the Minutes of the Meeting for the London Foodies Meet 2015 (LFM). I am sincerely thankful to Nisha Thomas for introducing me to this group of exuberant foodies from the London Food circuit. My otherwise mundane life suddenly got a facelift with so many beautiful talented ladies. All the ladies mentioned here made it an unforgettable evening.
They were mere Instagram posts for me which I liked for a fortnight satisfying my adrenaline rush, which had got triggered by the mention of a foodies meet. I was on cloud 10 and that’s pretty much surmises my excitement levels for the evening we met.
After a lot of discussion on delicious cakes, croissants, croquets, eclairs, cheesecakes and pastries. This romantic tiny two storey 1871 French patisserie (oldest and bestest) was finalised. It speaks of french love for quirk and walls boast of bohemian art works. It’s not at all posh but very earthy and the staff is extremely friendly. We puzzled them with my DSLR for several clicks where poor fella had to take a leap of faith to mimic wide angles lens for our clicks. (Please don’t mind the blurriness of his shaky hands he is a chef not a photographer 🙂 )

What followed were a whirlwind of events. There was a slight chill in the air probably inviting the warmth which was about to follow. On the first floor in the last table we all sat huddled next to each other. Each moment spiraling into relationships, projects, and friendships that far exceeded any anticipation I could have ever had. Half of them working full-time so they kept trickling in and we kept shifting from one place to the next. I have realised to love a place you need to love its people. These ladies were coherent with the spirit of London.
Food,Talent,Conversations…..
I went around with my lens clicking impromptu, bashful, engrossing sometimes posed moments. My eyes were drooling with awe. Relationships are like chains you forge new steel and make new bonds. So what follows……………I foresee plenty of communal meals, lively conversation, and amazing food. For my photography I picked up symbolism to celebrate the spirit of London.
