This is the first time I attended the BBC Good food show prior to this I never got the time to attend this mega event. You might grade me a fuse bulb right there but there’s always a space for ignoring the space under your nose.
This is a such a spectacular place for inspiration with a fantastic line-up of chefs and home cooks. You will find some of the best local producers, gadgets in the kitchen to top brands in baking. Also if this is too heavy on your head and you get light in your tummy then rush to the food stalls which serve delicious food. All this and more is the cynosure of the BBC Good Food show.
I was extremely delighted to attend some of the masterclass where I could get my hands messy and some real close encounters from chefs like Cyrus Toddiwala.
SuperTheatre
The super theatre was sponsored by ken wood and is always the highlight of the show. I had booked for Paul Hollywood and Marry Berry celebrity chefs. They cook live on stage and call up from the audience to taste their food. They really got the fun going and some of the jokes really cracked me up. The funniest part of the Kenwood giveaway was audience was to dance and the host had to choose one of them. The lucky person got a ken wood Sports Smoothie maker. Alas, I was sandwiched between two old ladies or maybe I am just making an alibi 🙂
Chefs: Marry Berry,Paul Hollywood,Tom Kerridge,Michael Roux Jr and James Martin.
Interview stage
The interview stage was sponsored by lakeland, where chefs were interviewed. They gave candid interviews and shared their secrets of success. Even we could ask them questions.
Winter Kitchen
Hosted by Lawrence Keogh, there were some of my most favourite chefs of Indian origin like Cyrus Todiwala,Lawrence Keogh and Dhruv baker. They shared some great cooking tips and anecdotes.
Chefs: Miriam Nice,Ben Tish,John Whaite,Sabrina Ghayour,Le Cordon Bleu,Jo Wheatley,Shelina Permalloo
Tasting theatre
I so regret not booking for this in advance as this was a golden opportunity to learn some of the core tasting skills. The theatre was sponsored by Lindt Excellence. There were tutored beer and wine tasting sessions and to match savoury canapés and chocolates with the perfect wine.
Book Signing
W.H Smith has set up a shop for all the latest cookbooks and one could get a signed copy by the author themselves. Up,close and personal.
In the following weeks I will be sharing some of the recipes, tips and tricks from BBC Good food show London.
